The Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey endorsed Vincent Solomeno for State Senate in the 13th legislative district Tuesday.
“Vincent knows what it means to step into harm’s way. The PFANJ and the IAFF are proud to support those who support us,” PFANJ President Steve McClonogue said. “We never stop fighting for our members’ safety, benefits, retirement, healthcare, and the necessary equipment to do the job, and we know we can go to Vincent to hear our issues and help lead that fight in Trenton.”
Solomeno is challenging State Sen. Declan O’Scanlon (R-Little Silver) in a district Democrats haven’t represented since 1991.
Both candidates are unopposed in their primaries.
“I’m honored that New Jersey’s firefighters are standing with me in my campaign to bring common sense solutions to Trenton,” Solomeno said. “I come from a family of firefighters and I know firsthand that these brave heroes swear an oath to protect and serve. When I’m State Senator, I will always have the back of our first responders.”
