State Sen. Joseph Cryan has won another labor endorsement that comes with money and boots on the ground with the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters announcing their support for his re-election bid.
“We share a common desire to protect workers’ rights in our region and the country as a whole,” said William C. Sproule, the executive secretary-treasurer. “Making sure that working class families receive a fair wage, good benefits, and the safe working conditions they deserve seems like common sense.”
Sproule said that with Cryan, legislators “can protect fair standards, protect working families, and provide opportunity for good paying jobs in New Jersey.”
The freshman Senator from Union County has already received support from the New Jersey Education Association, the Communications Workers of America, and the Laborers’ International Union of North America.
Cryan faces a primary challenge from Assemblyman Jamel Holley (D-Roselle) and science teacher Jason Krychiw.
