The New Jersey Globe is projecting that Democrat William Moen, the South Jersey Director for U.S. Senator Cory Booker, has won a seat in the New Jersey State Assembly.
Moen captured the open 5th district seat of Patricia Egan Jones, a Democrat who did not seek re-election to the Assembly this year.
Assemblyman William Spearman, elected in a 2018 special election, was re-elected to his first full-term in the Assembly.
They defeated Republicans Nick Kush, who challenged Spearman in a 2018 special election, and Kevin Ehret, who lost Assembly bids in 2015 and 2017.
Moen resigned from the Camden County Board of Freeholders earlier this year.
