State Sen. Dawn Addiego (D-Evesham) isn’t quite ready to endorse U.S. Sen. Cory Booker’s presidential bid.
“To be honest with you, there’s been so much going on that I haven’t even thought about,” Addiego said Thursday. “I’ve been dealing with the state budget.”
Since Booker launched his presidential bid at the start of February, the field Democratic field has drastically expended, and now more than 20 candidates are seeking the nod to challenge President Donald Trump.
Addiego switched her party alignment from Republican to Democrat a few days before Booker announced his intention to run, though his presidential ambitions had been something of an open secret in the state for years.
“It would be great to have someone from New Jersey in the presidency,” Addiego said.
