Abbey True Harris, a former chief counsel in the Senate Majority Office, has joined Connell Foley, a major New Jersey law firm, as a partner in the regulatory affairs and compliance group.
“Abbey’s unique track record spanning corporate, non-profit, government, and public service makes her an exceptional addition to Connell Foley,” said Timothy Corriston, the firm’s managing partner. “Her decades of diverse legal practice, regulatory affairs, and public policy experience will have an immediate impact for our clients. We are thrilled to welcome such an invaluable talent to our team, and I look forward to working together to serve the firm’s clients and significantly expand our strong commitment to community service and pro bono legal work.”
Harris had been a law clerk to New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Virginia Long and spent over nine years at Fox Rothschild before becoming legal affairs and public policy director at NJ PURE, a medical malpractice insurance company. After seven years there, she completed a seven-year stint as vice president of legal affairs and public policy at CURE Auto Insurance. She joined Senate President Nichola Scutari’s staff in 2023 and spent eighteen months at the statehouse before becoming chief legal officer at Reciprocal Management Corp.
“Connell Foley’s legal talent, political acumen and impressive growth make it the perfect environment to provide the highest levels of legal counsel for a range of clients and to launch important new community-based initiatives,” said Harris. “I am eager to begin collaborating with such a remarkable team of professionals, and am especially grateful to have the opportunity to join like-minded practitioners committed to public and community service across the state.”
