Theresa Greaves, mother of labor leader, dies

Served as Democratic committeewoman in Jersey City

Theresa Greaves, a former Democratic county committeewoman in Jersey City and the mother of labor leader Raymond Greaves, died on January 31.  She was 91.

Raymond Greaves is the Amalgamated Transit Union International vice president and a New Jersey Transit board member.  He is a former Bayonne councilman.

Visitation will be Tuesday at the Sweeney Funeral Home from 2-8 PM, followed by a prayer service at 10:30 AM on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the Greaves family is suggesting donations to the Shriner’s Hospital.
