By David Wildstein, July 18 2020 10:46 am

The sun has set on an American Hero. One of the remaining pioneers of the civil rights movement in our country. John Lewis was that unwavering voice and spirit that carried African Americans through a most tragic and dangerous periods in the history of our nation.

This warrior for social and civil justice continued to shine a light on racism, injustice, indifference, and inequality. He help mobilize masses of Americans  to push our nation forward.

Congressman Lewis once said “You must be bold, brave, and courageous, and find a way…to get in  the way”

This quote epitomized the life he lived and the conviction in which he pursued the quest for freedom, justice, and equality.

Congressman Lewis will be sorely missed but the soul of his life devotion toward pursuit of civil and human rights for the oppressed and the downtrodden lives on in us all.

Black Lives Matter… as does the life of the Honorable John Lewis, a true African American Hero.
