Joan Mott, a former judge of the New Jersey Workers Compensation Court, died on July 1. She was 87. Mott worked at Picatinny Arsenal and taught elementary school before attending Rutgers Law School, where one of her early mentors was Professor Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Gov. Jim Florio appointed her in 1981 and she served until her retirement in 2002.
Len Tighe, a former Runnemede council president, died on July 9. He was 72.
William Reuter, a former two-term Pennington councilman, died on July 8. He was 94. Reuter spent 38 years on the Pennington Planning Board and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
John Corrigan, a former Maywood municipal court judge, died on July 8. He was 74.
Edward Gonzales, a former employee of the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority, died on July 9. He was 86.
Tootsie Williams, the sister of former Bayonne City Councilwoman Dorothy Harrington, passed away on July 9. She worked a s a secretary for the Bayonne Board of Education for over 30 years.
