In Memoriam: Gov. Richard Hughes’ secretary dies at 83

Delores Irene Krysztyofik, who served as a secretary to Gov. Richard J. Hughes in the 1960s, died on August 10.  She was 83.  Krysztyofik spent 37 years working in state government, first at the Division of Motor Vehicles, and after Hughes left office, as an administrative assistant for budgeting and accounting in the office of the State Treasurer.

Karen Wilson, a former features editor of the Penns Grove Record and editor of the Lambertville Sun, died on August 7.  She was 75.

Babe DeCeglie, a former Totowa Zoning Board member, died on March 24. He was 90.  De Ceglie was Korean War veteran and retired Totowa police captain.  He served on the Totowa Board of Public Assistat and the Totowa Republican County Committee.

Janemary Belsole, a former Assistat Morris County Prosecutor, died on August 13.  She was 69.  Belsole was married to Donald R. Belsole, the former director of the state Division of Criminal Justice.

Jennie DeStefano, a former Woodcliff Lake school board member, died on August 11.  She was 94.

Pat DeCicco, the longtime receptionist at the Hillsborough municipal building, died on August 12.  She was 85.

William Condon, a former Collingswood Police Chief, died on August 13.  He was 80.

Gertrude Cannella, a former member of the North Caldwell Municipal Alliance, died on July 21 in Miami of complications related to COVID-19.  She was 94.

Samuel Roberts, a former Southampton Planning Board member, died on August 12.  He was 94.

Edward Beimfohr, a former managing partner at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf and the father of Morris Township Mayor Cathy Wilson, died on July 26.  He was 87.
