Rev. David Doctorian, who served in the Missouri State Senate for fourteen years between 1977 and 1991, died on January 12. He was 88. Doctorian was the father of former Monmouth University official and community leader Susan Kyrillos, and the father-in-law of former New Jersey State Sen. Joseph Kyrillos, Jr.
Anthony Palughi, a former Long Branch councilman and superintendent of the Monmouth County Division of Bridges, died on January 24. He was 87.
Norman James, a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the Ringwood Board of Education, died on January 25. He was 85.
Nancy Lacey, who spent 27 years with the Atlantic Planning Department and was secretary to the Planning Advisory Board, died on January 29. She was 86.
