Bill Loufik, a Quinton township committee from 1970 to 1930 and the mayor for about 15 years, died on August 30. He was 93. A U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War, Loufik is a former Quinton school board member and president of the Salem County Mosquito Commission.

Dorothy Brooks Adams, who was the first woman president of the Bayonne NAACP, died on August 3. She was 98. She worked at the Bayonne Housing Authority until her retirement in 1988.
Frank Catena, a Korean War veteran who was a member of the Union County Young Republicans in the 1960s, died on June 29. He was 91.
Mary Helen Moore, a member of the Prospect Park Democratic Club, died on September 8. She was 86.
