Karl Posselt, a former East Amwell mayor and school board president, died on January 21.  He was 81.  A U.S. Army veteran, he served as a 911 operator form Hunterdon County after his retirement as a pharmaceutical company executive.

Joseph Gilroy, a decorated U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War and a former assistant Essex County Prosecutor, died on January 19.  He was 89.

Dr. Ann Venezia, a former Mountain Lakes school board member, died on January 19.  She was 87.

Jean Keegan, who served as a Republican county committeewoman in Asbury Park, died on January 19.  He was 92.

Vivian Guzman, a North Bergen woman whose grandfather was Cuban Senator Juan Cabrera, a signer of the 1940 Cuban Constitution, died on January 18.  She was 75.  Guzman spent 31 years as an employee of the North Bergen School District.

Mary Plunkett Bentzlin, who served as government relations chair for the Morris County Retired Educators Association, die don January 14.  She was 96.

Wayne Natale, a former Gloucester County public defender, died on December 1.  He was 75.
