Jerald A. Harvey, the father of Jerrel Harvey, a former spokesman for Gov. Phil Murphy, died on January 9 of complications related to COVID-19.

Samir Hayek, a former Prospect Park councilman, died on January 8.  He was 80.

Janice Mastriano, a former three-term East Windsor Regional School Board member, died on January 7.  She was 85.

Otto Vopelius, who spent 28 years on the Chatham Planning Board, died on January 7.  He was 94.  Vopelius served as the Chatham Fire Chief from 1959 to 1965 and worked for the Department of Public Works from 1957 to 1990.

Joseph Signorello, Sr., the grandfather of Roselle Park Mayor Joseph Signorello III, died on January 7.  He was 84.

Shirley DeMilt, the mother of former Assemblywoman Linda Stender, died on January 5.  She was 93.

Nathan Jacobson, a former Maplewood Planning Board member, died on December 25.  He was 92.

Les Rea, a former West Cape May planning and zoning board member, died on January 5.  He was 86.

Tom Figlio, a longtime administrator for the Gloucester County Board of Social Services, died on December 28.  He was 72.  Figlio served on the Pittsgrove Planning Board and Environmental Commission.

Edward Kelley, a former East Windsor Planning Board member, died on January 8.  He was 79.

Marie Barbato, a former Democratic county committeewoman in Old Bridge, died on January 11.  She was 88.
