Irene Wolick, a former mayor of Hi-Nella, died on May 15. She was 86. Wolick spent 32 years employed by Camden County and served as a Democratic county committeewoman for 15 years. She was a Hi-Nella borough councilwoman from 1979 to 1993 and mayor from 1993 until her retirement in 2007. For part of the time Wolick served as mayor, her late husband, Walter, served as a councilman.
James Crovo, who at age 28 became the Clementon Municipal Court Judge, died on April 28. He was 71. Crovo served as municipal prosecutor before becoming a judge.
Doris Bertholf, a former member of the Blairstown School Board, died on May 17. She was 88.
Joseph Dyer, a former Alloway Board of Education president, died on May 18. He was 61. Dyer was a former superintendent of the Salem County Alternative Youth Center and the Salem County Juvenile Detention Center.
Babe Potts, a former Far Hills school board president, died on May 16. He was 92. Potts was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 67 and a former Far Hills Bedminster Fire Chief.
Nadine Dawson, a longtime member of the Mt. Ephraim Democratic Club, died on May 15. She was 76.
Josephine Fitzpatrick, a former Totowa Republican Club member, died on May 19. She was 91.
