Veronica Tarino, who served on the Upper Saddle River Borough Council for 22 years, died on February 19. She was 90.
Christopher Butler, a former aide to New Brunswick mayor James Cahill, died unexpectedly on February 11 of a subdural hematoma brain injury. He was 63. Butler managed the State Theater Performing Arts Center and worked on special projects on the mayor’s office.
George Kleinknecht, who served on the Manasquan Board of Education, died on February 17. He was 90. Kleinknecht served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and spent 30 years working for the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety.
Carole Rossi-Leonardo, a former member of the Sussex County Housing Commission, died on January 19. She was 78.
