Jerry Zappariello, a Buena Borough Councilman from 1971 to 1987, died on December 8. He was 91. Zappariello served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was the father of Buena Borough mayor David Zappariello.
Lawrence Maio, Sr., a former Delran councilman, died on December 8. He was 79. Maio served in the U.S. Navy Air Reserve and spent 29 years as a Mount Laurel police officer.
Mary Mahon, who spent 24 years as the switchboard operating for south Orange Village Hall, died on December 7. She was 96.
