Robert Klein, who served twenty years on the Maplewood Township Committee and was one of the final vestiges of a Republican machine that run the now-solidly Democratic town for decades, died on May 24.  He was 90.  A U.S. Air Force veteran, Klein served on the New Jersey Real Estate Commission under Gov. Tom Kean.

Peggy Salisbury, a longtime Union County Democratic Committeewoman in Union and Roselle Park, died on May 23.  She was 69.  She spent 25 years working for the County of Union, and later was the public relations director for Runnells Specialized Hospital.

William Fitzgibbons
, a former assistant Sussex County prosecutor, died on June 7.  He was 72.  Fitzgibbons served as municipal attorney for several towns and school boards and was counsel t the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority for fifteen years.  He was the first assistant prosecutor from 2004 to 2009.

Miles Gilsenan, a former assistant Union County prosecutor, died on June 8.  He was 91.  Gilsenan, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later served as general tax counsel for RJ Reynolds.

Alfred Arena
, a former Mainland Regional High School Superintendent of Schools, passed away on May 29.  He was 80.
