Dee Corona, former NJEA lobbyist, dies at 84

Delores Corona, the former top lobbyist for the New Jersey Education Association and a presence in New Jersey politics for parts of four decades, died on December 16.  She was 84.

Corona was a mathematics teacher in Union Township before joining the NJEA in 1972.

From 1985 to 2992, she was the director of government relations for the teachers union.

Corona was active in local government in Plainsboro, serving as a planning board member, and as a trustee of the library foundation.  She was a member of the Plainsboro Democratic Club and as a board member of the Plainsboro Non Profit Housing Corporation.
