Joseph Vales, a prominent New Jersey attorney and community leader, died on May 3 from complications related to a stroke. He was 60.
Vales joined the Princeton-based Hill Wallack law firm in 1985 and became a partner in 990. He chaired the firm’s Banking and FInancial Services practice group and the Commercial Real Estate group.
He served on served as chairman of the Trenton State College Corporation Board of Directors, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce board, the Princeton Chamber of Commerce, and was involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Dori, his two children, Keaton (11) and Joseph (8), and many relatives and friends.
