Gov. Phil Murphy urged Passaic Democrats to re-elected Democratic freeholders and members of Congress during a virtual breakfast Saturday morning.
“Existentially important to get them over the goal line, to get Cory Booker re-elected, to get the trio of the Passaic extraordinary congresspeople re-elected, Mikie Sherrill, Bill Pascrell, Josh Gottheimer,” he said.
The governor also urged attendees to re-elect Passaic Freeholders Bruce James and T.J. Best.
He said 3,303,955 New JErseyans had returned ballots as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, about 84% of 3.9 million ballots cast in 2016.
“I never thought I would say this, even as late as yesterday I didn’t think I’d say this. I think we might get to three-nine even before we open the doors on Tuesday, which would be extraordinary,” Murphy said.
