Gov. Phil Murphy has hired a new aide to coordinate outreach to Hispanic communities across the state.

Robert Matos-Moran began working as an aide to Murphy in his outreach department on Monday.  He previously worked on the staffs of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing).

“Rob will bring a wealth of experience, invaluable community ties, and a passion for ensuring that the voices of our Hispanic population are heard to this role,” said Alyana Alfaro Post, Murphy’s press secretary.

The son of Peruvian and Portuguese immigrants, Matos-Moran is a graduate of The College of New Jersey.

“I look forward to building upon the Governor’s longstanding connection to the expansive and vibrant Hispanic community across New Jersey,” he said.
