Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman isn’t taking her lack of a competitive election challenge as an excuse to laze around.
The two-term congresswoman is instead throwing her weight behind Democratic House candidates in other districts, including Andy Kim, Tom Malinowski and Josh Welle.
She said in a release that she has already started coordinating with their respective campaigns to call into the districts to help gin up voters.
Watson Coleman’s office will also be holding phone banks and helping to coordinate canvassers to help the Democratic challengers get out the vote as the campaigns wears on.
“This year’s election is critically important to the future of our state and our nation and we must do everything in our power to turn Red districts to Blue on November 6th,” Watson Coleman. “We’ve all seen what happens when individuals stand idly by and expect positive outcomes without doing the work required to achieve those results and we cannot allow that to happen again.”
