Congressman Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) and former Republican State Chairman Doug Steinhardt joined host David Wildstein on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, May 22.
Kim is serving his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives in New Jersey’s 3rd district, which includes parts of Burlington and Ocean counties. He was elected in 2018, ousting Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River) and re-elected in 2018. Prior to serving in Congress, Kim worked at the U.S. Department of State – he served in Afghanistan under Generals David Petraeus and John Allen – and in the Obama White House as the Iraq Director for the National Security Council. Steinhardt served as New Jersey Republican State Chairman from 2017 to 2020. He began his political career in 1999, at age 31, as a candidate for Mayor of Lopatcong. He ousted incumbent William Baker by 12 votes and was re-elected in a rematch with Baker with 80% of the vote. Steinhardt served a total of five terms. He has served as the Warren County GOP chairman since 2004.
