Former New Jersey Gov. James E. McGreevey will join host David Wildstein on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, July 24 at 4 PM.

McGreevey was elected Governor in 2001.  He defeated Republican Bret Schundler, the former mayor of Jersey City, by a plurality of 328,679 votes, 56%-42%.

He currently heads the New Jersey Reentry Corporation, a non-profit agency that seems to remove barriers for citizens returning from jail or prison to obtain employment.

In 1997, McGreevey came within just 25,426 votes of ousting Gov. Christine Todd Whitman in a 47%-46% race.  An Eagleton-Rutgers poll taken after the Democratic primary has Whitman ahead by 16 points, 48%-32%.

He was elected to the New Jersey State Assembly in 1989 and as mayor of Woodbridge in 1991.  McGreevey was also elected as a state senator from Middlesex County in 1993, defeating Republican incumbent Randy Corman by 1,443 votes, 48%-45%.  He is a former Assistant Middlesex County Prosecutor.

Wildstein is the host of the New Jersey Globe.
