Healey, Smith will debate on May 4

GOP congressional candidates seek to take on Rep. Andy Kim in NJ-3

Bob Healey and Ian Smith, candidates for the Republican nomination for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Jersey’s 3rd district, will face off in a debate at 8 PM on Wednesday, May 4 sponsored by the New Jersey Globe and Save Jersey, a Republican website.

David Wildstein, the editor of the New Jersey Globe will moderate the debate, along with Matt Rooney, the editor of Save Jersey, a Republican news website.

It will be streamed live on the New Jersey Globe, Save Jersey, and on social media channels:

The winner of the Republican primary will face two-term Rep. Andy Kim in the general election.

A third candidate, Nicholas Ferrara, was invited to participate in the debate if he met benchmark criteria established by the New Jersey Globe and Save Jersey.  He did not meet the criteria and he did not respond to the invitation.

The district includes parts of Burlington, Monmouth and Mercer counties.
