Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) will win a fourth term in Congress, the New Jersey Globe projects.
She will defeat Old Bridge Councilman Mark Razzoli, a retired police officer who is one of just two incumbent officeholders to challenge a sitting congress person this year.
With her seat safe in the solidly Democratic 12th district, Watson Coleman has squarely allied herself with her party’s progressive wing, becoming one of New Jersey’s harshest Trump critics in the process.
She was the first black woman to hold one of New Jersey’s House seats.
