Elizabeth Warren has raised more than seven times what Bernie Sanders has out of New Jersey as they both seek re-election to the U.S. Senate this year.
Warren has raised $208,383 from New Jersey donors, while Sanders’ haul was just $28,212.
Neither has a tough race.
Warren was in New Jersey last July to raise money for Democratic congressional candidates Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski. The event was held at the Short Hills home of former Edison Mayor Jun Choi, who has donated $5,400 to Warren.
Another potential presidential candidate, Andrew Cuomo, raised $761,689 in New Jersey for his 2018 re-election campaign for governor of New York. Limits are considerably different, and $300,000 of that came just eight individual New Jersey donors.
