State Sen. Jeff Van Drew brought in $411,485.56 between May 17 and June 30, bringing his total raised in the second quarter of 2018 to $540,094.51.
Van Drew spent less in the latter half of the quarter than he did in the former, when he was facing primary challenges from the left from a number of Democratic candidates.
He reported spending $149,124.22 Sunday’s filings, while he reported spending a slightly-higher $186,248.89 in his pre-primary filings.
Those figures are still far higher than those of Seth Grossman, his general election opponent, who has spent a comparatively meager $28,404.12 in the election so far.
And despite Grossman’s recently-heightened fundraising figures, Van Drew still has an incredibly wide lead on the former Atlantic County freeholder in terms of bankroll.
At $674,517.15, Van Drew finished the second quarter with more than ten times as much cash in his war chest as Grossman, who ended with $56,380.99 on hand.
