State Sen. Jeff Van Drew (D-Dennis) reported spending $806,951 during the first seventeen days of October in his bid to win a race for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd district, according to his filing with the Federal Election Commission.

Most of the funds — $675,000 – went to Jersey City-based Media Fortitude Partners for a media buy.

Van Drew raised an additional $118,866 during that time frame, and still has $186,984 cash-on-hand.
