With protests taking place on college campuses throughout the U.S., Republican Christine Serrano Glassner is slamming her potential opponent in the race for U.S. Senate, Rep. Andy Kim, being one of 91 House members to vote against a bill last night to broadly define antisemitism into investigations of discrimination.
“This is no surprise, as Andy Kim has proven himself to be no better than the Iranian Mullahs at protecting the fundamental rights of Jews,” said Serrano Glassner, the mayor of Mendham. “Andy Kim made it clear that, just like Joe Biden, he is firmly on the side of Hamas. The bipartisan antisemitism bill that passed today, which is designed to protect the civil rights of Jewish students on college campuses across America.”
The Antisemitism Awareness Act passed the House by a 320-91 vote. Among the eleven New Jersey House members, six Democrats and three Republicans voted yes, including the bill’s author, Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff). Kim and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) voted no.
“While the bill passed today is not perfect, it goes a long way to counter the protest culture of today’s Democrat Party,” said Serrano Glassner. “We need new leadership in New Jersey and in America to counter the extremism fostered by the Democrats that is destroying our fundamental principles of freedom and liberty in every facet of our society.”
Serrano Glassner said she is the only pro-Trump candidate in the GOP Senate race to replace incumbent Bob Menendez, a longtime supporter of Israel.
“I will always have the back of President Trump and his pro-Israel and pro-freedom policies, and I will always fight to counter the radical extremists in America such as Andy Kim,” she said.
