Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-Paterson) has $1,404,384 cash-on-hand, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The 13-term congressman reported raising $11,951 between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. Pascrell raised $1,595,446 in 2020.
Pascrell was re-elected by a 66%-32% margin in 2020 over Republican Air Force veteran Billy Prempeh. He won the Democratic primary last year by an 80%-17% margin over progressive Zina Spezakis.
Spezakis, a clean air investor, raised $697,377 for her primary bid, including $304,766 from her personal funds.
A former Paterson mayor, assemblyman and Passaic County Democratic Chairman, Pascrell was first elected to Congress in 1996, unseated a freshman Republican incumbent by a narrow 51%-48% margin.
Following the death of Rep. John R. Lewis (R-Georgia) last summer, Pascrell became the chairman of the House Ways and Mean Oversight Subcommittee.
