Novak hits Kim on impeachment

Republican challenger calls investigation a ‘witch hunt’

A Republican House challenger slammed Rep. Andy Kim over his backing of articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

“This impeachment is a total sham witch hunt contrived and executed to go against the will of the American people and our legitimately elected president who has built the best economy in our lifetime,” Barnegat Township Deputy Mayor John Novak said.

Kim on Monday said he would support two articles of impeachment against Trump. They accuse the president of obstructing congressional probes into his conduct and of abusing his office for personal gain.

Trump sought to coerce Ukraine into investigating the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, a chief political opponent, by withholding congressionally-approved military aid to the country.

The House is set to vote on the articles tomorrow.

“The progressive socialists can’t beat him at the ballot box, so they used behind the scenes basement procedures to conjure up fake allegations and accusations that change daily,” Novak said. “Progressive-Socialist Andy Kim is going to lose miserably because of his anti-Trump, Pelosi-following support of this sham.”

  1. All this tells me is that Novak can be bought since his sole defense of President Trump in this article is that our economy is doing well. What about the constitution Mr. Novak? It obviously is not a priority for you. Shame!

    1. Beth, nobody has or can buy John Novak.
My defense of President Trump goes well beyond our record breaking economy. Our military is stronger and better equipped; veterans are respected. Our borders are no longer the porous free for all gateway they once were; human trafficking drug smuggling gang members are being captured and deported. Police are publically supported, as they should be, by our President. Our individual rights are valued once again. The Constitution will ultimately prevail as there will be a trial in the Senate determining whether or not the President has committed any impeachable offense(s). I respect and protect the Constitution daily in my work as an attorney; the Constitution is very important to me. In Congress I will work with President Trump on our jointly held values and priorities. I want to Make America America Again – We Want Our Country Back.
