On day four of his self-quarantine after being exposed to a colleague who tested positive for COVID-19, Rep. Andy Kim (D-Marlton) says he’s doing well and anxiously awaiting test results to see if he has coronavirus.

“I’ve had some symptoms. I can’t tell if it’s a cold or flu. No coughing. No fever,” Kim told the New Jersey Globe in a telephone interview.

Kim said he was tested on Thursday.

“I want to have some clarity with the test as soon as possible,” the freshman congressman said.  “It would be a big weight off my shoulders.  People all over the world are feeling that way.”

In the meantime, Kim has been working full-time from home.  He’s in constant contact with his staff and government officials, and has been using social media to reach his constituents.

He said he would consult with his physician before making any decisions about ending his self-quarantine period.

The 37-year-old Kim is the youngest member of the New Jersey congressional delegation.
