U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez is raising money off the existence of robocalls.
The incumbent sent out a fundraising email Wednesday touting the bipartisan the Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence (TRACED) Act, which would require phone companies develop technologies to identify and block robocalls as well as imposing fines of up to $10,000 per call on violators.
The email highlighted the fact that Menendez received one such robocall during a press conference on the legislation last week.
