Rep.-elect Tom Malinowski more than doubled the fundraising and spending of Rep. Leonard Lance in his successful bid to flip the seventh congressional district’s House seat.
According to post-election reports filed with the Federal Elections Commission, Malinowski raised $6,265,579 and spent $6,127,693, or $36.70 for each of his 166,985 votes.
Lance reported having raised $2,598,607 and spent $2,714,339.
That’s $18 for every one of Lance’s 150,785 votes.
Those spending figures do not include independent expenditures made for or against either candidate, nor do they include spending made by candidates’ political action committees.
Malinowski reported having $87,973.29 left over in his campaign account. Lance had $46,205.58 on hand after the race was over.
