The State Council of Machinists endorsed Rep. Andy Kim (D-Marlton) Tuesday.
“I’ve been proud to stand alongside the machinists and aerospace workers of the New Jersey State Council of Machinists,” Kim said. “I’m equally proud to have them on my side for the fight ahead. The stakes of this election are too high for working people to sit on the sidelines. Together, we’ll make sure Burlington and Ocean Counties, not big corporations or Washington insiders, have a voice in Congress.”
Kim is fighting his first re0election battle this year.
He’ll face either former Burlington County Freeholder Kate Gibbs of former Hill International CEO David Richter.
“We are especially grateful to you for joining our Brothers and Sisters from Local 1061 on their picket line last month,” Machinists President Ines Garcia-Keim said. “Your presence increased the visibility of their fight and boosted the morale of these brave workers during a difficult time. You have stood with us, and we are proud to stand with you. We are fully committed to supporting your re-election in every way we can.”
