Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lawrence Hamm has launched a new Facebook ad for his bid to oust incumbent Cory Booker in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate.
The positive, 27-second ad, which does not mention Booker, features stock footage of peaceful protest rallies and activists, and includes images of Hamm – one with a megaphone – speaking at a rally.
Script: “To start a political revolution, you have to elect a revolutionary. Larry Hamm. U.S. Senate. A lifetime fighting for us.”
It’s a modest media buy, according to Facebook political ad records.
Hamm has sent under $200 showing the ad on social media and has had less than 2,000 impressions since it began running on June 16.
Hamm, who served on the Newark Board of Education in the 1970s, is the longtime leader of the People’s Organization for Progress.
