Leveraging on negative coverage of the candidate’s statements, Seth Grossman’s fundraising has picked up significantly since the candidate took the second district’s Republican nomination in June.
Though he enters the next quarter with significantly less cash on hand than State Sen. Jeff Van Drew, Grossman still managed to bring in $65,312.98 in the second quarter, bringing his total raised for the campaign to $77,107.73.
$3,000 of that figure came from a personal loan the candidate gave his campaign.
Grossman spent $19,741.49 between April and June, leaving him with $56,380.99 on hand going into the later summer months.
Van Drew’s July filing has not yet been posted, but the candidate, considered the race’s favorite, reported having more than $400,000 banked in his pre-primary filings.
