The Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey has endorsed Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-Long Branch) for re-election to an 18th term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the thousands of firefighters and first responders represented by the Professional Firefighters of New Jersey,” said Pallone. “These are the brave men and women we call when our neighbors and loved ones need help the most. I’m grateful for their work in our communities and honored to have their support.”
Pallone faces progressives Russ Cirincione and Zac Roeill the Democratic primary.
Two Republicans, Christian Onuoha and Sammy Gindi, are seeking the Republican nomination to take on Pallone, the chairman of the powerful House Energy & Commerce Committee.
The 27-year-old Onuoha won the organization line in Monmouth County last month, defeating Gindi, 25, with 84% of the vote.
Pallone was re-elected in 2018 with 64% of the vote.
