Assembly Co-Minority Conference Leader John DiMaio

DiMaio endorses Pallotta in NJ-5

By David Wildstein, June 16 2020 11:26 am

Republican congressional candidate Frank Pallotta has been endorsed by John DiMaio (R-Hackettstown), the Assembly Minority Conference Leader.

Pallotta, a former investment banker, is one of five candidates seeking the GOP nod to challenge Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) in New Jersey’s 5thd district.

Warren County needs a true ally in Congress, unlike Josh Gottheimer, who, with Nancy Pelosi, left our residents out of critical funding for COVID19 testing and supplies,” said DiMaio.  “Frank won’t forget about us in Washington. Throughout his campaign, he has made a genuine effort to come to our communities to understand the concerns of voters here. He’s also a fighter, who will relentlessly challenge Josh Gottheimer this fall.”

Former Cresskill Councilman John McCann, Pallotta’s chief primary rival, has the organization line in Bergen County.  But Pallotta has scored endorsements from State Sen. Gerald Cardinale (R-Demarest) and Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-River Vale).

Pallotta has the organization line in Passaic County and the endorsement of Sussex County Republican Chair Jerry Scanlan.
