Another poll shows tie in 3rd district

MacArthur 45%, Kim 44%

Another poll has the race for Conrgess in New Jersey’s 3rd district statistically tied.

A New York Times/Siena College poll has two-term Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River) leading Democrat Andy Kim, a former Obama White House staffer, by a 45%-44% margin, well within the margin of error.

The same poll conducted four weeks ago had Kim leading MacArthur 49%-39%.

The close results mirror two other independent polls; Monmouth University, released today, and Stockton University from two weeks ago, all show the race in a dead heat.

The poll had a sample size of 508 and a margin of error of 4.8%.
