Amy Marie Oliver, a grants manager and field representative for U.S. Sen. Andy Kim, has added a new title: Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader.
Oliver announced the news on Instagram, saying she was “beyond excited” to share that she had joined the Eagles’ cheerleading squad.
“I can’t even put into words how much joy and fulfillment this chapter has brought me already,” Oliver wrote. “Trust me when I say, no one could be more surprised by this than me.”
Oliver said she decided during the past year to “take a leap of faith” and return to an activity she loved.
“I cannot believe I have the opportunity to represent the Eagles organization this year alongside the extraordinary humans of @eaglescheer,” she wrote on social media. “Here’s to doing more of what you love, shooting for the moon, and seeing where life takes you.”
Oliver will continue working for Kim.
“When Amy surprised me with news that she got selected as an Eagles cheerleader, I smiled bigger than I have in a while,” Kim said. “Our whole team is proud of her and she’s going to crush it on the field of The Linc.”
She joined Kim’s staff in 2023 as a constituent advocate, when Kim represented New Jersey’s 3rd district. Oliver came aboard just weeks before the unsealing of the corruption indictment against then-U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez and Kim’s decision to challenge Menendez in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate.
Oliver moved to the Senate side with Kim in December 2024. Her current responsibilities include grants management and field representation for the senator.
She is a 2022 graduate of Hofstra University and grew up in Hamilton Township. Oliver also serves as an assistant coach for the Temple University dance team.
Oliver isn’t the first woman to combine public service and cheerleading for the Eagles.
Dana Pasqualone served on the Washington Township Council in Gloucester County while working as an Eagles cheerleader. She was first elected to the council in 2016 at age 27, becoming one of two Republicans on a five-member council led by a Democratic mayor. She joined the Eagles cheerleading squad the following year and didn’t seek re-election in 2020.
Pasqualone returned to the council last year after being appointed to fill the seat of Richard Bennett, who resigned after being charged in connection with anonymous letters sent to two women on the local school board.
