Terrance Turnbach has won the endorsements of  two former mayors, Sean Giblin of Jackson and Russell Corby of Pine Beach, in his bid for Ocean County Democratic Chairman against incumbent Wyatt Earp.

Giblin said that Democrats have “lost momentum” under Earp.

“We do not field candidates in most towns.  We do not have even half a full Democratic committee.  We don’t have much financial support.  We have no excitement,” Giblin said. “You can clearly see when a team is stuck in a funk with no way out, they don’t get rid of the players,” stated Giblin.  “We are all the players. They usually change the manager or coach.”

Corby, 79, was a longtime mayor of Pine Beach who served as a top aide to John F. Russo, the former Senate President and Democratic gubernatorial candidate from Toms River.

Turnbach, a former Toms River councilman, will face off against Earp after the June primary election is certified.
