Good morning, New Jersey. Early voting is now underway for the 2023 general election.
The state’s nine-day early voting period begins today, with early voting locations open from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Early voting is open on Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
“Early voting is all about making it easy for voters to exercise their right to vote,” said Lt. Governor Tahesha Way, who as Secretary of State is New Jersey’s chief elections officer. “While some voters may not have the time to get out and vote on Election Day itself, in-person early voting allows nine days for folks to find the time that works best for their schedule to cast their ballot.”
Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy are scheduled to vote at their local early voting center on Saturday morning.
Starting Monday, October 30 through Saturday, November 4, early voting will be open from 10 AM to 8 PM. The final day for early voting is Sunday, November 5 from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Voters may vote from any designated in-person early voting location in the county in which they are registered. Click HERE for a list of early voting poll locations in each county.
Anyone who believes their vote has been interfered with, or seeks to report voting-related issues, can call the New Jersey Voter Information and Assistance line toll-free at 1-877-NJVOTER.
Early voting is just one of many options to vote in the upcoming election.
Vote-by-Mail ballots may be dropped in secure drop boxes or returned by the U.S. Postal Service at the peril of a voter; ballots must be postmarked by 8 PM on November 8 and delivered to the county Board of Elections no later than close of business on Monday, November 14.
“With three convenient options to choose from, we encourage every eligible New Jersey voter to cast their ballot in this year’s election,” said Assistant Secretary of State Dr. Lauren Zyriek Enriquez, who serves as acting director for the New Jersey Division of Elections.
